Sex Often Considered As Jokes

A poll in the UK mentioned that one in ten people in Britain do not know that women still get pregnant despite having sex while standing. Although no longer taboo to talk about sex, but it proved that people only talk about sex as a joke, not as a health science which should be anticipated or studied. According to a survey conducted in Britain, as much as 19 percent of participants did not know that women can get pregnant during her menstrual period. Meanwhile, 11 percent believe that sex is performed while standing is a fairly effective method of contraception to avoid pregnancy, and 37 percent do not ever think or talk about contraception when having sex.

Other facts found in research than 2,000 participants aged 16-50 years said that 31 percent of people never talk about sexual health with their partner and 17 percent did not know that the infection in genital herpes and warts resistant to antibiotics. The reason was because of embarrassment. Some 27 percent of participants claimed to be too embarrassed to ask that question to a partner or on his friends and other people nearby. "Although they talk about it, 62 percent even discuss it as a joke," said Spurr.
Spurr surprising attitudes of people who are not considered taboo sex talk but instead make it as a joke. "There are times when we talk about it as a joke, but there are also times when we must address the topic seriously, for the health of themselves and others," said Spurr
